Do you need assistance at the airport? It is best to inform your airline immediately when you book a flight ticket. In any case, make sure that your request is known to your airline at least 48 hours before your flight departs, otherwise you may need to wait longer. Someone who made a request on time has priority. At Schiphol, first report to the check-in desk of your flight or to a call point.
If you have indicated to your airline that you need assistance, you should first go to the check-in desk for your flight. Here you let your airline know you’ve arrived and they will refer you to the assistance waiting for you. If you did not request assistance with your airline 48 hours in advance, you can still arrange this at the check-in desk. Keep in mind that the waiting time for assistance can be longer in this case.
Do you need help getting to the check-in desk? Assistance can pick you up from the train station, the bus stop, the taxi stand or one of the car parks at Schiphol. If you want to make use of this service, report to the nearest call point.
If you need help at Schiphol before checking in, use the pick-up service. Please report your arrival and request in advance to assistance provider Axxicom Airport Caddy by sending a message to assistentie@airportcaddy.nl. This is not mandatory, but allows us to properly prepare our pick-up service.
If you have already checked in at home, it is important to let the assistance provider know that you are at Schiphol and want to make use of assistance. You can make yourself known at the check-in desk or at one of the call points (which is faster and easier).
When you request assistance from your airline, it is important to state how we can best help you. This way we can completely tailor the assistance to what is convenient for you. For example, indicate:
Whether you can walk and how far;
Whether you can climb stairs;
Whether we can guide you in a different wheelchair;
Which mobility aids and/or medical baggage you have with you.
Would you like to request assistance, but can't figure it out? We’re happy to help you on your way.
