Even before you reach the security check, there are loads of great places you can see (and photograph of course). So, even if you’re not going on holiday, you can take some really great photos.
Panorama Terrace
Once inside (and still before the security check), you’ll find the entrance to the Panorama Terrace. With the aircraft and runways as your backdrop, this is not only the perfect place for plane spotters, but also for capturing your best photo. Not flying yourself, but still want a photo in an aircraft? Then why not take a look (and a photo) in the old Fokker 100 at the centre of the terrace.

Vliegtuigmotor Plaza
Want to take a selfie with a real aircraft engine? Look no further! At Schiphol Plaza, there’s actually an old DC-10 engine. This is as close as you’ll get to a real engine and you can even climb into it. You’ll find the engine next to the Planes@Plaza shop.
Time for the next stop. Even after the security check, there’s no shortage of great places to feature in your feed.
Lekker Nederlands
Are you flying via Departure Lounge 2 or 3? If so, keep a look out for the big yellow clogs in Departure Lounge 3. They’re guaranteed to give your photo that perfect Dutch touch. The gigantic block of cheese in the background just completes the picture.
At the gate
The classic holiday snapshot: a photo at the gate. If you’re in luck, your aircraft will be ready and waiting and you can all capture the start of your trip as you gaze out through the big windows in the perfect Instagram shot.
Walking down the aisle
With rows of seats on either side, the aircraft provides the ultimate backdrop for that fashion model look. With the aisle as your runway, you can capture a final selfie that’s ideal for Instagram.
