Do you work at Schiphol and have a parking permit? If so, you can park in one of the staff car parks or parking garages. However, your parking permit is subject to various rules and regulations. Like everywhere else in the Netherlands, our car parks are checked on a regular basis.

Make sure you park correctly

After a long workday, the last thing you want is a wheel clamp and a fine. Make sure to park your car in the designated spots and within the lines. If your car has been clamped, you can have it removed after paying the applicable fee. Call 020 405 7940 for assistance. If you have any questions, you can also ask at a payment machine or information pillar.

Keep your business and personal life separate

Going on holiday and need a parking space? However tempting it may be, you can only park your car in a staff car park or parking garage during your working hours. If you park outside your working hours, you risk a penalty and your parking permit could be withdrawn.

Only park using your own pass

If you have forgotten your Schiphol Pass or parking pass, you can pay to park in Terminal Parking P1. Whatever you do, make sure you do not ‘just borrow a pass’ from a colleague. The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee may confiscate your Schiphol Pass if you do. In addition, you may not lend your parking pass to anyone else.

Watch out for snow and ice

During the winter period, we keep our car parks and access roads as clear of snow and ice as possible by gritting on a regular basis and using snow ploughs where possible. We also maintain the bus stops and associated walking routes. Unfortunately, we cannot reach everywhere, so when it is frosty, please be careful when getting into or out of your car and while walking. It might be slippery!
