Are you not a Known Transporter, but do you need to be within Schiphol's stand-off zone with a vehicle? Prior to any visit to the stand-off zone, the driver must first drive past the Remote Security Center to have security checks carried out. The Remote Security Center is located in the RD Passage which can be found at Flamingoweg 22, Schiphol.
Within Schiphol's stand-off zone are the logistics streets (Expeditiestraat, Transportstraat, Laad- & Loskade), the Service Lane (Dienstenbaan) and the Jan Dellaert Square. Access to the stand-off zone requires a security check first. Any company that is not a Known Transporter but needs to load, unload or perform a service with a vehicle within the stand-off zone of Schiphol can gain access after registering and checking the vehicle at the Remote Security Center.
The Remote Security Center (RSC) is a five-minute drive from Schiphol Center. Currently, you can go to the Remote Security Center without pre-registration. This may change in the future. The Remote Security Center is open on working days between 10 AM and 3 PM (excluding public holidays). You can report within the Remote Security Center's opening hours.
Address RSC: Freightway building, Flamingoweg 22,Schiphol (view the route)
Opening hours Remote Security Center: Monday to Friday between 10 AM and 3 PM.
The Remote Security Centre is closed on public holidays. See the website of the Government of the Netherlands for a list of public holidays in the Netherlands.
At the Remote Security Center, drivers will be helped upon presentation of a valid identification document (passport or identity card). Please note: a driving licence is not valid proof of identity at Schiphol Airport. An employee of the Remote Security Center registers the driver and the vehicle, and carries out the vehicle check. The driver then receives a form and drives directly, within the specified time, to the specified vehicle passage. Watch the animation to see how the Remote Security Center works:
Do you need to load, unload or perform an operation with a vehicle within Schiphol's stand-off zone, but are you not a Known Transporter? Then the security check will take place at the Remote Security Center (RSC).
Access to the stand-off zone outside the opening hours of the Remote Security Center is only possible in exceptional cases for companies who are not a Known Transporter.
Is access to the stand-off zone necessary for the operation of Schiphol and/or their airport partners (e.g., emergency malfunction)? Call the Security Control Center on 020 601 3000. The SCC will validate your request according to strict criteria. If you meet these criteria, you will be eligible for ad hoc access.
Before you can enter the stand-off zone, your vehicle will be checked at the vehicle passage by a security officer.
The SCC will refuse your request if it does not meet the strict (emergency) criteria. In that case, you have to wait until the Remote Security Center is open. For the current opening hours of the RSC, see 'Location and opening hours' on our website.
With these strict criteria we keep the impact on the operation to a minimum.
