We houden er met de bouw van de bagagekelder rekening mee dat hier op termijn een nieuwe terminal op gebouwd kan worden. Over de bouw van de terminal is nog geen besluit genomen. Om de optie wel open te houden, wordt er een integraal schetsontwerp gemaakt.
For the baggage basement (substructure), we are currently in the process of tendering to develop the final Design (DO) in a construction team format. We expect this to be ready by the end of 2025.
The new terminal is needed in order to continue to guarantee operations at Schiphol at peak times during the renovation project. By constructing this new terminal, we will create space to move – parts of the existing terminals can be closed for renovation and we can allow passenger flows through the new terminal.
