State of the art cargo facilities
Schiphol is a leader in digital cargo solutions. With the Port Community System and the Smart Cargo Mainport Programme, processes become more efficient, transparent, and better aligned with industry needs, ensuring faster, more reliable, and smoother cargo handling. This results in shorter turnaround times, less administration, and improved customer satisfaction.
Sustainable and innovative cargo community
Schiphol is investing in cleaner fuels (SAF) and efficient handling systems to reduce its environmental impact. Together, we are working towards a circular airport; this includes electrification of airside, electrification of landside trucks and reuse of materials to build new hangars and parking facilities, etc. Together, we are working towards a sustainable airport.
Strong together
Thanks to the good cooperation with airlines, handling agents, freight forwarders and customs, air freight runs smoothly. The proximity of Maastricht strengthens our role as ‘Gateway to Europe’. But also the good cooperation with ACN, TIACA and the cargo community ensures that the process can run optimally
Sustainable and innovative cargo community
Schiphol, together with Maastricht Aachen Airport, forms a (cargo) airport system. Maastricht (located a 2.5-hour drive from Schiphol) offers all the necessary facilities for cargo and cargo handling and benefits from being a compact airport. Maastricht Aachen Airport is not a slot-regulated airport, meaning capacity is always available.
