We would like to inform you about the winter measures that apply to the staff car parks. This way, you know in advance what Schiphol Parking does to tackle snow and slippery conditions. Schiphol Parking specifically deals with the areas after the barrier at our staff parking areas and we take our responsibility at those locations every year. Below are the winter measures per car park:
Car park | Gritting / snow removal |
P5 | main roadways, stairs and path to bus stop |
P12 | main roadways and ramps (roof remains closed as much as possible) |
P30 en P30e | main roadways incl. pavement around lodge |
P40 | main roadways incl. pavement around lodge |
P44 | main roadways |
P57 | main roadways |
P80 | main roadways |
We always ensure that the main roadways are gritted/snow-free. Please note that there may be some minor roadways that are not gritted. As in many cities and villages, it is not feasible to clear everything of snow. It may therefore be the case that you have to walk a bit through the snow to or from your parked vehicle. In that case, we would like to ask you to take appropriate measures yourself. This could be sturdy footwear with profile soles or other efficient means that can help you. In this way, we work together to ensure that you can get to and from your vehicle safely.
On behalf of Parking, we wish everyone a pleasant and safe snow season. For questions regarding the above, please contact parkeren@schiphol.nl.
