Easy, fast and sustainable: Combine your flight with train travel
For years now, Schiphol has supported (international) train travel as a logical and sustainable alternative to short-haul flights of up to 700 kilometers. That’s why we’re encouraging train travel to and from our airport, especially in combination with a flight.
Schiphol Airport Station’s unique location directly underneath the terminal means you can travel by train from Schiphol quickly, easily and responsibly. Regardless of where you’re coming from or where you’re going.
From train to plane
You can walk from Schiphol Airport Station to your airline’s check-in desk in less than 10 minutes. Simply take the stairs or lift upstairs to Schiphol Plaza and follow the signs to the right departure hall. You can see which departure hall you need to be in and which check-in desk you need to go to in the Schiphol app. If you are travelling with a KLM Air&Rail ticket, you will almost always need to go to either Departures 1 or 2.
From plane to train
Are you continuing your journey by train after landing at Schiphol? Upon exiting the baggage hall, you just need to follow the signs to the train station. At Schiphol Plaza you’ll find monitors with information about when and from which platform your train leaves. You can then take the stairs or lift downstairs to the station. If you have a combined flight and train ticket, follow the same route to get to the trains.
