Update 13 June 2024: Maintenance on Zwanenburg Runway will continue until Sunday 30 June 2024, and not until Friday 28 June as we previously reported. Therefore, the runway will be unavailable for air traffic until Monday 1 July 07:00. After that, LVNL will continue working on the ILS system.

Maintenance works

During this period of maintenance on the Zwanenburgbaan Runway, we are going to repair the runway where necessary and carry out minor repairs. We will also be cleaning the lights, checking the cables and electricity, cutting the grass around the runway and flushing the runway drains.

LVNL working on the ILS

During this period, LVNL will also start working on the Zwanenburgbaan's Instrument Landing System (ILS). This system ensures that planes can land safely. These works will last until mid-September, after which Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL) will carry out measurements on the ground and in the air to check that the system is working properly and accurately.
