News  ·  23 MayAalsmeerbaan Runway to undergo annual maintenance

The Aalsmeerbaan Runway will be under maintenance from Monday 3 June to Sunday 9 June. As a result, the runway will be unavailable for air traffic. Aircraft that normally take off from or land on the Aalsmeerbaan Runway will use the Zwanenburgbaan Runway and Buitenveldertbaan Runway during this period.

Repairs, cleaning and grass cutting

During this period of maintenance on the Aalsmeerbaan Runway, we are going to repair the runway where necessary and carry out minor repairs. We will also be cleaning the lights, checking the cables and electricity, cutting the grass around the runway and flushing the runway drains.

Works on the Kaagbaan Runway

During the normal maintenance activities on Aalsmeerbaan during the night of Thursday 6 June to Friday 7 June, works will also take place on the head of the Kaagbaan Runway. During this work on the asphalt and lighting, both runways cannot be used. That is why it has been decided to do these works during this period.

The work will be carried out from Thursday 6 June 23:00 to Friday 7 June 06:00.

During this period, air traffic will make more use of the Zwanenburgbaan Runway.
