Frequently asked questions
Reservations
Should I enter the start and end times of my shift?
No, you should enter the times when you expect to arrive at and exit the car park. If you are not sure of your exit time (e.g. because you are a member of a flight crew), it’s best to enter a later time to be on the safe side.
How far in advance can I book a space?
You can book your space up to 96 hours before your planned arrival time. This service is available until further notice.
Should I book a space in Schiphol-Centre as early as possible?
Spaces are limited and are allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. The sooner you make your booking, the greater the chance that there will be a space available.
Why do I have to book a space in advance?
Advance booking is necessary because we only have a limited number of spaces available. Once you have booked your space, your spot is guaranteed.
Isn’t there an easier way to get a parking space?
Unfortunately, there isn’t. This is currently the only way to book a space, considering the limited capacity in the car park.
It’s raining. Can I book a space in the WTC car park at short notice?
You can make a reservation up to 24 hours before you arrive – subject to availability, of course.
I’m trying to book a space but I keep getting a ‘sold out’ message telling me that the product is unavailable. Why is that?
There are only a limited number of parking spaces. If you see a message telling you that no parking products are available for the period when you want to park, it is no longer possible to book a space during that period.
Can I change or cancel my booking? And do I have to pay to make a change?
Yes, you can change and/or cancel your booking, and no, you won’t have to pay any extra charges.
Rates
I’ve unexpectedly parked for longer than the period I booked. Do I have to pay an extra fee? How much is that fee?
If you stay too long, you will pay the standard visitors’ rate for the WTC car park, but only if you park for considerably longer than the period for which you booked. The standard rate is €1 for 10 minutes (up to a daily maximum of € 46.50). Take your car park ticket to the payment machine to find out whether, and how much, you have to pay. Please note: under no circumstances are you allowed to park your car for more than two days longer than the period you booked. After two days, you will be charged an excess fee of € 100 per day.
Parking
How do I get to the entrance of the WTC car park?
What happens when I arrive?
You entered your number plate when you booked your spot. The barrier will take a little time to recognise your number plate. As soon as it does, it will print your car park ticket. Important: Do not press the button on the barrier. Wait until your ticket is printed automatically. The barrier will open when you take your ticket.
Please keep your reservation number handy. You will receive this number with your confirmation email. If your number plate is not recognised, you can use the intercom to confirm your reservation number.
What about when I leave?
When it’s time to leave the car park, use the ticket you were issued when you arrived. There’s no need to go to the payment machine unless you have parked for considerably longer than the time you reserved (>2 hours); in that case, take your ticket to the payment machine to find out if you need to pay extra.
Can I enter and leave the car park more than once within the period I booked?
Unfortunately not. Once you leave the car park, you can’t go back in.
