Sustainable aviation

In cooperation with a diverse range of partners, we want to make the entire civil aviation industry more sustainable. Our objective is to achieve emission-free civil aviation by the middle of this century. We promote emission-free aviation wherever we see an opportunity. We have already differentiated our airport charges, the fees airlines pay for permission to land their planes.

In addition, we support more efficient flying and we promote and finance the development of sustainable fuels. A pilot was recently begun at Schiphol using a ‘taxibot’, representing the first step on the road to sustainable taxiing.
