KLM will expand its network in India with the addition of Bangalore at the end of October. KLM will operate 3x weekly with a B787-9 with 294 seats. Till mid-April Bangalore was served by Jet Airways. With the addition of Bangalore, KLM will be serving three cities in India and the total amount of flights from Amsterdam to India will be 15 per week. KLM also announced that they will provisionally suspend flights to Colombo, Sri Lanka this winter.

On May 24, Delta Air Lines will start operating daily flights from Tampa to Amsterdam. The flights are operated with a Boeing 767-300ER. Tampa is a new destination for Schiphol and is the 11th for Delta Air Lines at Amsterdam.

From June 6, a Boeing 787-9 of KLM will fly three times a week to Las Vegas on Tuesday, Friday (from July 2) and Sunday. Las Vegas is a new destination for Schiphol and the 18th destination for KLM in North America.

On May 6, KLM flew to Wroclaw for the first time. This is a new destination for KLM and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. An Embraer 175 is used on the route with space for 88 passengers. Wroclaw is the fourth destination in Poland for KLM.

Coming winter, Transavia will launch three times weekly Amsterdam – Amman service. This is a new destination for Transavia. Amman – Amsterdam is already served by Royal Jordanian Airlines.

KLM will boost flights from Amsterdam to Mumbai from three to five times a week at the end of September. Also KLM has announced they will add more capacity on the route from Amsterdam to New Delhi with the introduction of the B787-10 on four of the seven weekly frequencies.

This summer, AtlasGlobal will regularly use its new A330-200 on the Amsterdam – Istanbul route. The A330 will replace the A320 and A321 and has capacity for 325 passengers.

Coming winter, KLM will fly to St. Maarten as a standalone operation. Currently St. Maarten is offered in combination with Curacao. The frequency will be 2x a week and the flight is operated with an Airbus 330-200.

From June 25 to September 1, easyJet will offer flights to Genoa and Pula. These destinations will be flown twice a week.

On 21 April, KLM launched service to Naples with a Boeing 737-700/800. This is the tenth destination in Italy. There will be daily flights in July and August. In the other summer months, this route is offered only in the weekends. In addition to KLM, Transavia and easyJet are also active on this route.

KLM will increase the number of flights between Amsterdam and Paramaribo, starting June 1. In addition to Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, KLM will also fly to Surinam every Monday. The extra flights will be carried out with a B747-400 with space for 408 passengers.

American has brought forward the introduction of the Boeing 787 on the Amsterdam – Philadelphia route coming winter. The B787 will replace the B767 and the seat capacity will be increased with 20 seats per flight.

EVA Air has decided to continue to operate with the B777-300ER on the Taipei-Bangkok-Amsterdam route. There were plans to deploy a B787 to Amsterdam, but this decision was changed and the B777 will continue to visit Amsterdam.

Delta Air Lines will stop flights from Amsterdam to Los Angeles per September. This route was started last year by Delta. KLM will continue to operate this route twice a day.
