Over the past few years, we have renewed the stairs, escalators and lifts at Schiphol Airport train station. In September, we started replacing the canopies above the stairs in the façade of Schiphol Plaza.
The entrances to the train station at these three locations have therefore been cordoned off with construction fencing. Inside, we are working hard to provide the stairs with a new covering. This work will last until mid-February and is being carried out by BAM Infra on behalf of ProRail.
The station will remain accessible to both passengers and staff during the work. Only the staircases from the façade towards the platforms will be closed, but all platforms will remain easily accessible via the other stairs and escalators.
The renovation is one of the steps to increase Schiphol's accessibility as a multimodal hub.
