Reserving a parking space
What happens if I want to park without a reservation?
It is possible to park without a reservation at nearly all locations of Schiphol Parking. You can just drive in. However, please note that reserving beforehand will be cheaper. Prices depend on parkingduration, time of booking and availability. Please note: if you park in P1 or Privium 1 without a reservation, you can park for a maximum of 48 hours in P1 or a maximum of 72 hours in Privium 1. If you park longer than the maximum hours, the amount will be increased by € 100 per day.
For Valet parking products you must always make a reservation beforehand.
Why do I have to make a reservation if I want to park at P1 for over 48 hours or at Privium 1 for over 72 hours?
We want to be able to guarantee a parking space in P1 or Privium 1 for everyone who comes to Schiphol to pick up or drop off someone or for those making a short trip. If there are sufficient free parking spaces, it is possible to book a parking space for a longer period online. The price depends on the duration, availability and time of booking.
If you park for longer than your reservation, then the regular rate for P1 and Privium 1 will apply.
I have not received a reservation confirmation, what should I do?
- Has the reservation charge been deducted from your account? If not, then the reservation was not successful. A new reservation should be made.
- Did the reservation confirmation end up in your spam folder?
- Do you have several e-mail addresses? Perhaps you entered a different e-mail address when you made the reservation.
- If you did not receive your reservation confirmation but the reservation charge has been deducted, then please contact us.
Please note: check if you have received the reservation confirmation, the online rates are only valid with a reservation confirmation. Without a valid reservation you will pay the regular rate.

How late can I make reservation in advance?
You can book online until 2 hours beforehand.
For P6 Valet Parking, you can also make a last-minute reservation within 2 hours before departure, but only by telephone: 020 6013483. A different rate applies for this. Inform about the rate when you make your reservation by phone.
Parking rates & costs
What are the parking rates with a reservation?
Making an online reservation is is cheaper. The rates for online reservations depend on the period you select how long you will be parking and the time of booking. Would you like to know your rate? If so, please visit Parking at Schiphol or Privium Plus Parking and enter the period and time when you want to park. You will immediately get a price.
What do I have to pay extra if I park longer than the booked time?
You pay the fixed rate that applies to parking without a reservation. There is a different rate for each parking product which can be found on the product pages. You can easily pay the extra costs at the pay machine.
How do I request a refund of double parking charges?
Have you been charged full parking costs twice, because you booked a parking space online and then took a ticket at the gate or paid with a credit card, for example? Then there is a chance that you can get this amount back.

Can you receive a discount for Schiphol parking?
We rarely offer discounts, but when we do, it's directly through our own official platform and/or channels, not via partners or other external discount code websites. Read more.
I lost my parking ticket. What should I do?
Don't worry, we are happy to help you. When you return, report to our service staff via the intercom at the payment terminal. We can create a new parking ticket for you with your license plate number or your reservation number. There are no costs attached to this.
Changing & cancelling
Do I have a right to a refund when I cancel my reservation for parking?
You are only entitled to a refund for parking charges if you have selected the cancellation option when making your reservation. Unfortunately, you will not get a refund if you have not chosen the cancellation option.
In case of cancellation, will I also receive a refund for the cost of the cancellation option?
No, the €5 charge for adding this option will not be refunded when cancelling your reservation.
Can I change, extend or cancel my reservation for parking?
Yes, this is possible until 24 hours before the drive-in date and time. You can change or cancel your reservation here. Have you driven in yet? Then extension is no longer possible. Additional costs will then be charged, which you can pay at the payment terminal upon return.
Changing the dates of parking, the license plate of the car, or your personal details is free of charge. Important: if you change your reservation, you will automatically receive a new reservation number. Carefully save the reservation confirmation (and any changes we send you by e-mail). It will contain the most complete information.
The parking fees will only be refunded if you selected the cancellation option when you made the reservation. It is easy to add it when you make your reservation. The €5 charge for adding this option will not be refunded when cancelling your reservation.
Privium Plus members can always change or cancel their reservations for parking free of charge (membership benefit). This can be done until 1 minute before the start of their reservation.
Please note, you can no longer change or extend it in the interim if you have already parked your car. This also applies to Privium Plus members.
Can I change a reservation after I have driven in?
No this is not possible. Change or cancel your reservation is only possible up to 24 hours before the specified entry date and time
Can I get a refund without adding the cancellation option?
No, the parking fees will only be refunded if you selected the cancellation option when you made the reservation. It is easy to add it when you make your reservation. The €5 charge for adding this option will not be refunded when cancelling your reservation.
Do I get a refund if I pick up my car earlier?
You do not get a refund if you return earlier. After all, we have reserved a space for you for the period as stated.
Can I arrive earlier than is stated on my reservation?
Yes, that is allowed but please keep in mind that this may impact on the parking fee and that you may have to pay an additional fee when you return.
How does driving in and out work?
Can I arrive sooner or leave later than stated in my reservation?
It is no problem if you arrive a little earlier or park a little longer if your flight has been delayed or your return date has changed. Please keep in mind that this may impact the parking fee and that you may have to pay an additional fee when you return.
How does driving in and out with a reservation work?
When making a reservation, you can choose if you want to drive in and out on the basis of license plate recognition or with a credit card.
How does driving in and out on the basis of license plate recognition work?
Driving in
- Ensure your license plate matches the license plate of your reservation.
- Drive up to the gate. Your license plate will be scanned. It may take a little time before your license plate is recognised.
- When your license plate is recognised, you will automatically receive a parking ticket with your license plate and reservation number at the gate.
- Take your parking ticket. We advise you to keep your parking ticket in a safe place. You can use it to pay any extra costs if you unexpectedly arrive later from your trip or if there are problems recognising your license plate when you drive out.
Please note: if you do not automatically receive a parking ticket, do not press the button for a parking ticket yourself. In that case, always use the intercom to ask for assistance. In case of problems, it is helpful to have your reservation number at hand so we can help you quicker.
Driving out
Upon your return, you do not need to use the pay station. The barrier automatically because of the license plate recoginition and you can exit quickly and easily. Unless you are parked for longer than your estimated departure time. You can pay the extra costs with your parking ticket at the pay machine. After paying the extra fee at the pay machine, you can exit.
Did you press the parking ticket button upon entry because your reservation was not automatically recognised? In that case, please use the intercom at the pay station to ask for assistance to prevent a double charge upon leaving.
Does it matter if I arrive with a different car/license plate?
If the license plate of your car does not match the license plate in your reservation, then you must change the license plate on your reservation. Otherwise we cannot recognise your car at the gate. Change the license plate on your reservation here.
How does driving in and out on the basis of credit card work?
Driving in
At the gate, insert the credit card you registered on your reservation. Otherwise we cannot recognise your reservation at the gate. Change the credit card details on your reservation here.
Driving out
Upon your return, you do not need to use the pay station and you can use your credit card to drive out. If you have parked for longer than your estimated return then you can pay the additional charges at the pay station or with your credit card at the gate.
Does it matter if I use a different credit card than the one on my reservation when I’m driving in?
If the credit card number does not match the credit card number on your reservation then we cannot recognise your reservation at the gate. Change the credit card number on your reservation here.
How does driving in and out with your Privium or Privium Plus card work?
Please insert your Privium Plus card in the card reader at the gate. After your card has been scanned, the gate will open automatically. You can also drive out with your Privium Plus card.
Can I still use my Privium Plus card to drive into P1?
No. You can no longer use your Privium Plus card to drive into P1. You can drive into Privium 1, address: Transportstraat, 1118 ZT Schiphol. You can park there for up to 72 hours without a reservation.
From parking space to terminal
What is the quickest way to get from P1 and P6 Valet parking to the arrivals and departures halls?
It is not far from P1 and P6 Valet Parking to the arrivals and departures halls. Follow the signs and walk under cover to the terminal in a few minutes.
What is the quickest way to get from Privium 1 to the arrivals and departures halls?
It is not far from Privium 1 to the arrivals and departures halls. Follow the signs and walk under cover to the terminal in a couple of minutes.
What is the quickest way to get from P3 to the arrivals and departures halls?
The free shuttle bus runs to and from P3 every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. The pick-up location is beside P3 Sheltered. You will be at the departures hall in 5 minutes.
How do I get back to P3 from the departures and arrivals halls (departures stop)?
You take the free shuttle bus to return to P3. This bus runs every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. The pick-up location is bus stop A5 in front of the entrance of the arrivals hall (close to the bus stops in front of the station). You can also find the bus stop by following the yellow P3 signs. You will be back to your car in 5 minutes.
Electric charging
Where can I find charging stations for my electric car?
- P1 Parking - Second floor (on the roof), row 206 and 207 - 11 charging stations
- P3 Garage - Ground floor, to the right of the entrance - 12 charging stations
- P6 Valet - Add the charging service via the website or app while making your reservation or after
- Privium 1 - First floor, row 101 (Windmill) - 12 charging stations
- Privium 6 Valet – Add the charging service via the website or app while making your reservation or after
Please note: there are no electric charging stations on the P3 Site and Privium 3.
Will there be more charging stations at Schiphol in the future?
We will be expanding the electric charging.
What is the maximum charging time?
At the moment, there is no limit to how long you can use a charging station.
Can I book an electric charge point?
Yes, with Valet parking services you can add the charging service via the website or app while making your reservation or after. Do not forget to leave your charge pass. We will do our best, but we can never guarantee that your car will be fully charged due to the limited availability of charging stations. You cannot book charging stations at other parking area. If there are any free charging stations, then you can park your car in that location.
Do I need to indicate that I will be driving electric?
No, you do not need to indicate beforehand that you will be driving electric. Find all charge points here.
Do you need additional authorisation to park at a charging station?
You do not need any additional authorisation to charge your electric car. You can use your charge pass to use the charging stations, if available.
What are the prices for electric charging?
You will be charged €0.54 per kWh for charging, with a starting rate of €1.34 (rates include VAT).
Valet parking products: Can my electric car be charged while I’m away?
Yes, that is possible. Add the charging service via the website or app while making your reservation or after. Do not forget to leave your charge pass. The rate for electric charging is €0.54 per kWh, with a starting rate of €1.34. We will do our best, but we can never guarantee that your car will be fully charged due to the limited availability of charging stations.
People with reduced mobility
Where can I find parking spaces for people or persons with reduced mobility?
- P1 Parking - On every floor beside the lift
- P3 Garage - To the left of the entrance
- P3 Site - Immediately after the entrance
- Privium Excellence - On the first floor beside the lift.
- Privium 1 – Beside the lift
- P6 Valet Parking - directly in front of the door of the service desk
Spaces for people or persons with reduced mobility can be recognised by the international symbol of access. These spaces are for everyone with a disabled person’s parking card.
Pick up and Drop off - special parking spaces for people with limited mobility are located right in front of the departure halls. You can park here for up to 1 hour if you clearly display your disabled person’s parking card and parking disc on the dashboard.
Where can I park for a short time with a vehicle height in excess of 2 metres (with or without a disabled person’s parking card)?
Vehicles with a height over 2 metres can also use P3 Long Term Parking Unsheltered for short-term parking. Please note: it is not permitted to park in a space for people or persons with reduced mobility without a valid exemption. The shuttle bus is free and suitable for wheelchairs.
Can I take my disabled person’s card with me on my trip?
If you want to take your disabled person’s card with you on your trip, then we must take a copy. In that case, you can only park in P3 Sheltered or in P3 Unsheltered. There you will find accessible spaces for people with reduced mobility that can be recognised by the international symbol of access. The spaces cannot be booked and are intended for anyone with a disabled person’s card. To allow us to take a copy of the card, please contact us by using one of the intercoms at the entrances and exits or the pay stations of P3 Sheltered and P3 Unsheltered. We will come to meet you as soon as possible. Please take into account a waiting time of no more than 20 minutes. You will take the original with you and place the duplicate on the dashboard.
Is there help for people with reduced mobility to get from the parking area to the terminal?
Yes, our airport assistants are happy to help. There are also wheelchair-friendly buses that drive from P3 Sheltered and P3 Unsheltered to the Arrivals and Departures halls.
How do I book a parking space for people with reduced mobility?
You cannot pre-book a parking space for people with reduced mobility. You can just book a parking space on P1, P3 Sheltered, P3 Unsheltered, or Privium Excellence on the website or drive into the parking location on the day of departure. Select an available parking space for people with reduced mobility and clearly display your disabled person’s card (not a copy) on the dashboard before you leave the car.
Miscellaneous
What is the maximum overhead clearance?
The maximum overhead clearance is 2 metres. Cars with a height over 2 metres can park in the P3 Unsheltered or Privium 3.
What are the maximum measurements of my car if I want to park at Schiphol?
If your car is no more than 5 metres in length, no more than 1.90 metres wide, and less than 2,500 kg and the height does not exceed the overhead clearance stated at the entrance of the parking location, then you can drive in without issue. Please note: the multi-storey car parks and underground car parks are only accessible for vehicles with a height not exceeding 2 metres. P3 Unsheltered is accessible for vehicles with a height in excess of 2 metres.
Can I have my car washed before I pick it up?
Would you like to drive away in a clean car when you return from your trip? This is indeed possible with the Valet parking products and Schiphol’s unique car washing service. We wash your car in an environmentally friendly way (without water). This water-saving, innovative method provides a shiny and scratch-free result.
You can add this service to your Valet Parking booking during the check-out.
How does the video lane work at P6 Valet Parking?
When you arrive in P6 we record your car from all sides in our unique video lane. In this way, you will be sure that your car is in exactly the same state as when you gave us the car key. We will securely store the recording of your car and it can be made available on request.

What is the difference between P1 and P2 at Schiphol?
The P2 parking garage at Schiphol has been closed since 2017. If you want to park for less than 48 hours, you can go to P1. You can walk to the terminal in 3 to 6 minutes. If you want to park for longer than 48 hours, you are welcome at P6 Valet Parking or P3 long-term parking.
